A Nigeria facebook user Francesca Joseph-Esenwa‘shared
a now viral video of a woman who made her underage maid
fan her non-stop while she sat grooming herself in saloon
for over two hours ..
She wrote,
“I witnessed this modern day slavery today at a nail salon.
This woman who arrived in a jeep came with this girl who
looked rather unkempt and had her fan her for over 2
hours.I Watched helplessly and prayed for life to be able to
add value for my children.
If she can use her as a mobile fan for over 2 hours in public
you can then imagine what she uses her for behind closed
doors.No help for this children as we watch them being
abused.No school.Still hurt by this.
Sad.”
Though the video posted is 38 seconds,if true ,things like

Hilarious ! Husband Storms Church To Withdraw Money His Wife Gave As Tithe

Money matter is a serious matter! A angry husband
stormed a church service demanding his Sh200,000
loan that his wife gave as tithe for prayers against
demons in a local church last Sunday.
Mr. Geoffrey Odhiambo said his wife took the money,
for which a bank used his car as collateral, and gave it
to the church, without his consent.
Funny enough, the wife say she gave the money as
“tithe for prayers as there were evil spirits and devils in
her house”.
An eyewitness, Lawrence Odengo said Mr. Geoffrey
complained it was not the first time his wife had taken
money to ‘Jesus Elevation Tabernacle’ located in the
Kisumu CBD.
It took male ushers more than 10 minutes to eject Mr.
Geoffrey from the midday service moments before the
APs Quick Response Team arrived. He reported the
matter at Kisumu Central police station.
Members of the public, who had glimpse of the drama at
the place of worship they termed a “Pastor Kanyari
church”, demanded its closure

. Bishop Mark Khegoi, who runs the church, could not be
reached for his reaction, according to local media.

No wearing of hijab in NYSC camps, DG insists

Members of Muslim Youths in Da’wah on Tuesday had a
peaceful protest at the headquarters of the National Youth
Service Corps in Abuja against the ban on the use of hijab
by female Muslim corps members, especially during
orientation camps.
However the Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier-
General, Johnson Olawumi, insisted on the ban, saying it
was “for security reasons” and will not be lifted.
The national coordinator of LMYiD, Luqman Hassan; and
the Deputy Coordinator, Kamarudeen Adefila, had told the
NYSC DG that a major protest by Muslims was averted
because of the ban on hijab in most orientation camps.
Hassan told the DG:
“We are here to discuss with you about the incident
that happened recently in various camps across the
country. We have a guiding principle which is based
on the Holy Q’uran. We are all Nigerians and the
principle which guides us is the constitution and the
African Charter on Human rights.
“Members of the NYSC are Nigerians who have
contributed to the development of this country;
female corps members deserve protection by the
NYSC. We don’t believe that a female corps member
putting on hijab has done any wrong against the Act
establishing the NYSC. So they deserve the respect
of the NYSC. We have travelled far and wide and
visited different camps. Why are the rights of
female corps members being infringed upon. We are
here to register our displeasure.”
“Many Muslim organisations wanted to protest, but
we said wait a while. In fact, we have to intervene to
avoid the situation and if Muslims march on the
streets, it will attract a lot of negative comments,
but people won’t know why we are protesting,”
Adefila had added.
Olawumi said:
“Under my leadership, the NYSC will accord respect
to every corps member, irrespective of tribe and
religion. The incident in Benue State was caused by
the use of long hijab. The security situation in the
country is tough. There is the danger of somebody
using hijab for other reasons.
“Why are you so particular on your alleged infraction
on the rights of youths without mentioning any one
of such on Christian youths? Produce your evidence,
write to us and I can assure you that we will act
fast. When the incident in Benue State was reported
to us, I swung into action and ensured that the camp
commandant was decamped immediately. We are
not magicians; if you have any evidence, write to us
and we will not hesitate to act.”
The NYSC Legal Adviser, Ahmed Tijani Ibrahim, said the
incident in Benue State was still being investigated.
He said,:
"I’m a Muslim and in our camps, I know that we
have treated everybody equally. You mentioned the
fact that you would have proceeded to protest. Very
minor issues could trigger off mass protest.
“We will see the way forward to this complaint. I can
assure you that the issue will not be swept under the
carpet. The NYSC is very sensitive to the issue of
religion and immediately we heard of it, we swung
into action and we are on it because issues of
religion are very sensitive.”

TRUE OR FALSE! Biblical Goliath Skull Found In A Tomb Near Jerusalem (PHOTOS)

Here is a story of the discovery of Goliath’s skull in a
valley at the western part of Jerusalem, the Israeli capital
with the stone (from David’s sling) still stuck on the
forehead. Hope you all remember the story of the
CHALLENGE BOUT between David and Goliath in the
Bible? Sure you all do
This startling discovery was made sometime ago by a
leading archaeologist, Dr Richard Martin who says it
proves that David’s battle with the 10-foot giant really
happened just like the Bible said it did. He labelled it the
“archeological finding of the century, if not of all
time”.Back then, at a news conference in Jerusalem, he
had told reporters: “Many people including scholars and
clergymen would have us believe that the biblical account
of David and Goliath is little more than an interesting
piece of fiction. “But we found this skull in the valley of
Elah, in the foothill of the Judean Mountains, where
David’s battle with Goliath was said to have taken place.
Even more intriguing, the skull is huge and clearly
belonged to a man of enormous stature. And if you
believe the Bible, you know that Goliath stood nine-feet
shoulders tall. “But most telling piece of evidence is the
small round rock we found embedded in the forehead.
The Bible tells us that David killed Goliath with a stone
flung from a leather sling. It might be - but I don’t think
so.”Martin found the skull during a routine archaelogical
survey about 20 miles southwest of Jerusalem. He and
his assistants instantly realized that the find was
important. It was not until they performed tests that
showed the skull to be between 2,900 and 3,000 years old
that they had actually found the remains of Goliath.
According to the Bible, the battle between David and
Goliath happened around 900B.C or 1000 years before
the birth of Jesus Christ.
The Bible tells us that the battle began as a band of
Israelites were preparing to fight a band of Philistines on
the valley of Elah.
At that point in history, it was common for enemies to
avoid massive casualties by allowing one man from each
side to fight for their respective armies. To quote the
Bible, the Philistines Goliath challenged the Israelites to
“choose a man and let him come to me. If he is able to
fight with me and kill me, then we will be your servants.
But if I prevail and kill him, then you shall serve us”.
David took up the challenge and killed Goliath with a
single stone thrown from a leather sling. When Goliath hit
the ground, David chopped off his head with Goliath’s
own sword. Dr Martin confirmed that the skull he saw had
a rock stuck in the forehead.
“There was also evidence to suggest that the head had
been severed from the body by a sharp object, most likely
a sword. I know that the evidence is circumstantial but
when you put it all together, there can be little doubt that
this is Goliath’s skull. To be perfectly frank, I’m staking
my career on it,” he said.
While biblical scholars and other experts consider the
ramifications of Dr Martin’s report, the archaeologist
himself is planning to return to the site to search for other
relics. “Goliath was wearing a helmet and coat of mail
when he was slain by David and we would like nothing
more than to find them,” he added.

FAMILY SAY THEIR BABY'S TUMOUR SHRANK AFTER KISS FROM THE POPE

A FAMILY believe they have witnessed a miracle after their sick baby's brain tumour  started to shrink after she was kissed by the Pope...

Pope Francis kissed one-year-old Gianna Masciantonio on the head during a visit to Philadelphia in September.

Following the papal parade in September, Gianna's family described the kiss as a miracle.

MRI scans from August and November show a clear difference in the size of the tumour.

Gianna's mum Kristen Masciantonio said: "You can't really see the tumour, in all of the scans it's just a blur.

 "She's getting better and stronger. She's blowing kisses. She's starting to point at things."

One of the Pope's bodyguards lifted Gianna out of the crowds to allow the Pope to kiss her on the top of her head.

Mum Kristen said: "I fell to my knees and I cried and I thank the Lord for helping us get through this and giving us this blessing."

Gianna was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour when she was just one month old.

Doctors ruled out surgery due to Gianna's blood cells attacking her brain stem and said she would not see her first birthday.

Gianna's dad Joey Masciantonio said: "I think all this is from God, the Pope is a messenger from God."

Speaking to CBS Philadelphia, the family said the kiss was divine intervention.

Mr Masciantonio said: "Last year was about living in honor of her. Now we're going to get to live with her."

 In an unlikely coincidence Gianna's brother Dominic shares a similar name with the bodyguard Domenico, who hoisted his sister out of the crowd.

Baby Gianna also met the daughter of her namesake St Gianna while the Pope was in Phildelphia.

It's believed this is not the first miracle believers say has been performed by Pope Francis.

In 2014, in Rome, he kissed a three-month-old baby with two holes in her heart. Medics later found one of the holes in Ava Cassidy's heart had completely closed and the other was half the size.

During a visit to New York last month he also appeared to show his 'healing power' when he blessed a wheelchair bound 12-year-old girl who had been struck down with a mystery illness.

The captain of the team, Carly Bliss, in an interview, said it was a great day for her and her team-mates.

'The calendar shoot was great fun for the whole squad!' she said. 'Not only was it a great team building exercise but knowing we were raising money for our club and for such an amazing charity spurred us all on the brave the chilly October afternoon.

'The shoot did take some time: we wanted the photographs to be technically accurate from a rugby point of view, in addition to underpinning the important messages we want to spread on behalf of OURFC Woman and Beat.' 

The 2016 calendar, which the group are selling to members of their university and the general public, is all about body positivity.

The club's president, Helen Lamb said, 'The message that Beat promotes really fits with the positive body image and confidence that we promote at OURFC Women. Our calendar highlights the variety of women that play rugby and we hope it will encourage and inspire more women to try out rugby.

'The majority of the team had never considered doing a naked calendar before but it was obvious that everyone was really keen to give it a go.'

Along with money from every calendar sold being donated to charity, the initiative will also seek to help promote grassroots rugby within the university, with all the remaining profits being invested into the club.

19 month old baby burned to death in oven by her siblings as her mother went out for pizza

A baby was baked to death in an oven by her toddler brother and sister after they were left alone at home.
The twin three-year-olds watched as 19-month-old J’zyra Thompson kicked the oven door after they made it “hot”, court documents claim.
Mum Racquel Thompson and her boyfriend had gone out to fetch a takeaway pizza and a prescription, leaving four kids under the age of five in the flat without telling a gramdmother who lived in the same block.

They returned to find little J’zyra with severe burns and called paramedics to their home in Houston, Texas, but it was too late to save her.
Detective Ronda Pemberton said: “Upon arrival of paramedics they found a deceased one-year-old.

“We found the baby next to the oven. It appears to be accidental.”

Estella Olguin of the Child Protective Services said: “Both of them had left the children home alone.

“What was reported was that they had left to get a pizza. “The children were left at home for an extended amount of time and that’s when obviously the child somehow managed to be inside an oven.”

No charges have been filed, although the CPS said in a court filing that criminal charges were expected.





According to the court records the two three-years-old told investigators one of them put the J’zyra in the oven, and the other turned it on.
When she arrived home Thompson, who is seven months pregnant with her current boyfriend’s child, tried to revive her baby with CPR but she had already died from severe burns.
Authorities said no suitable relatives were found after the tragedy to look after the children and they have since been placed in foster care.

“The court found that there was an immediate danger to those three children and granted us emergency custody,” said County Attorney Amy Strickland.

Two of the children in the apartment at the time are children of Fredrick Price who is the former boyfriend of Thompson and was unaware the children were left alone.
He said:

“It’s very irresponsible, someone should have been here or I should have gotten a phone call, come and get my children.”

Price said he was unsure if J’zyra was his after the former couple failed to take a paternity test.

“I haven’t heard from my children in months,” add Price. “I’ve been trying to contact Racquel. “She was a cute little baby, I just didn’t know if that was my daughter or not.

J’zyra’s grandmother, Gina Dennis, said: “She was a sweet baby. This is unexplainable. I have no words.”
According to neighbours Thompson used to drive the kids without a licence or car seats.

Robert Mugabe Will Rule Zimbabwe Till He's 100 Years Old From A Special Wheelchair - Wife

Robert Mugabe will continue as President of Zimbabwe until
he is 100, governing from a “special wheelchair”, his wife
has said.
Grace Mugabe, herself a cabinet minister, said in a speech
over the weekend that while the 91-year-old’s mind might
be willing, increasingly his body may not be. But that that
isn't going to stop him.
According to reports in the Zimbabwean press, Mr Mugabe
has recently had trouble walking, as his advanced years
begin to catch up with him.
“We are going to create a special wheelchair for President
Mugabe until he rules to 100
years, because that is what we want,” Mrs Mugabe said.
“That is the people’s choice. We want a leader that respects
us.”
The people will get the chance to voice their opinion in 2018
when Zimbabwe next goes to the polls to decide who rules
them. Mr Mugabe, who has suffered a number of
embarrassing public stumbles in recent months, has already
been declared as the Zanu-PF candidate despite the fact
that he will be 94 at the time of the election. Mr Mugabe has
been President in Harare since 1980.
Mrs Mugabe did not give details about quite how the
wheelchair would be special, but vowed to push it herself.
The 50-year-old Mrs Mugabe has herself been mentioned as
a possible successor to her husband, who has insisted he
will not retire.

Corps to resume 3 batches in 2016

The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC recently
announced that they will be going back to dispatching 3
batches of corp members in 2016.
The practice of having three batches was changed in 2015
when they had two batches in two streams.
The Management of the scheme had attributed the 2-batch-
a-year change made earlier this year to lack of enough
funds to run three batches.
The management made this statement on their Twitter
page.
"We are going back 2 having our 3 batches & tentatively 2016
Batch A Orientation course,will be in between Feb & March. "
They also have an explanation for the 2-batch method that
was introduced this year.
"We had two batches ds year b’cos our budget was too small &
hadn’t enough fund but now NYSC is on Zero Budgeting we’ll
run d 3 batches ."
Meanwhile, NYSC is informing 2015 batch ‘B’ stream ‘I’
prospective corps members who were unable to attend
camp, that the Management has concluded plans to allow
them to join stream II.
They are required to log into their NYSC portal and re-print
Call-up letters as the Stream II reporting date will be
reflected on the new call-up letters.
These corpers are urged comply and report to Camp on the
stipulated dates because missing stream II means missing
Batch B.

Police arrest 21 homosexual students in Asaba, Delta State

Police men in Asaba, Delta State, have arrested 21 students who are allegedly homosexuals.

According to Punch, a reliable source said that two state-owned polytechnics (names withheld) where the suspects were arrested, were popular with homosexual activities for financial gains.

 

Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mrs. Celestina Kalu, confirmed the arrest of the suspects.

She said:

“We had it on good authority that the male students allegedly engaged in anal sex. The suspects, upon interrogation, made useful statements to the police while investigations are ongoing.”

MTN yet to pay N1trillion fine as extended deadline expires

MTN Group on Friday failed to pay over N1trillion fine
imposed on it by the Nigerian Communications
Commission (NCC).
The company incurred the wrath of the regulatory
agency following its failure to disconnect over 5 million
unregistered subscribers from its network.
It was gathered that MTN and government officials
were still deliberating on the issue of reduction, mode of
payment and possible extension.

The initial deadline was November 16, but was shifted
to November 20 after series of meetings.
The Deputy Director, Public Affairs of the Nigerian
Communications Commission, NCC, Mr Sony Araba had
confirmed that talks were still on but that no money
had been paid yet.
He assured that conclusions reached at the meeting
would soon be made public.

I killed my boss for Xmas money – Guard

Yesterday, reported how a daredevil security man connived
with his friends to murder a 25-year-old final year Civil
Engineering student of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Imo
State, Mr. Innocent Ndukwe.
A security guard, who was recently arrested by the Imo
State Police Command for allegedly stabbing his boss to
death and stealing his belongings, said he committed the
dastardly act because he wanted to celebrate Christmas
lavishly.
Punch reports that the guard, David Kwaguru, and two of
his friends Friday Ayuba and Francis Amos, made away
with the deceased’s Nissan Pathfinder with number plate,
KRD109AD, two plasma TV sets, one home theatre and
other valuables.
Confessing to the crime, the security guard said that the
rationale behind their evil act was that they needed money
to celebrate Christmas next month.
He said,
“Since oga Ndukwe had the money (because of his
wealthy parents) and expensive household
electronics, we decided to kill him, put the devices
inside his vehicle and drive to Plateau State where
we come from.
“We waited and monitored him. And when he went
into the toilet, we broke the door open, tied his
hands and legs and started stabbing him all over his
body. We stabbed him several times in the neck and
abdomen so that he would die quickly. After killing
him, we drove off in the jeep only to be nabbed by
the police at West End Road in Owerri.”
Also speaking, an accomplice, Ayuba, said that it was Amos
that first struck the victim in the neck while he stabbed the
student in the stomach.
He said,
“It was Kwagwuru who told us about the student.
Since we are all from the same state, we decided to
run back to Plateau after the crime, and not to return
to the South-East ever again. We also planned to
sell the vehicle and other valuables and share the
loot.”
While parading the suspects, the CP said the police control
room got a call on the incident and policemen raced to the
crime scene.
He said, “As a result, the assailants who tried to
escape were subsequently apprehended along West-
End old Nekede road, Owerri.”
He said that the deceased was found in a pool of blood in a
toilet at his residence when policemen arrived.

Oshiomhole faults govs on N18,000 minimum wage

Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole yesterday in
Abuja disagreed with his colleagues in the governors
forum, insisting that state governors must pay the
18,000 minimum wage which was signed into law by
former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Speaking after the first Central Working Committee
(CWC) of the Nigeria Labour Congress in Abuja,
yesterday, Oshiomhole said the minimum wage
agreement was reached after painstaking negotiations
among labour, employers and government.
He said with current economic realities, the 18, 000
minimum wage, which is less than 100 dollars is
nothing to write home about.
He said, “I joined the NLC to protest to the National
Assembly when they were going to amend the
constitution to make the minimum wage a concurrent
issue.
“I said workers have a stake in this democracy. They
are the ones who could afford to match the street and
they matched the street for democracy. Democracy
doesn’t have to run at the comfort or convenience of
governors, ministers, and presidents. I believe that the
issue in the economy hasn’t got to do with minimum
wage. I have always also reminded my colleagues that
the minimum wage was not imposed, it was negotiated
and state governments agreed to it, the president
signed it not under duress, there was no strike to
compel the then president to sign it, he signed it
voluntarily.
“I believe when you look at the minimum wage as it is
today at N18,000, it is less than 100 dollars. I think it is
now about eighty dollars. Now, divide eighty dollars by
31 days, you will be getting about two point something
dollars. Now we cannot argue that workers in Nigeria’s
formal sector should not earn more than two dollars a
day, I cannot subscribe to that because the art of
governance is the welfare of the people.”
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the
Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) have warned
that any attempt to undermine the payment of the
N18,000 minimum wage by the state governors will not
be taken lightly by workers.
Both unions were reacting to recent report in the
national dailies saying that governors in their meeting in
Abuja said they can no longer pay N18, 000 national
minimum wage because it was imposed on them when
oil sold for $126 as against the present price of $41 per
barrel.

Mr. President, are you for real? Etcetera

Dear President Buhari, I will like to extend an invitation to
you for a tour of down town, so that you can have a clear
view of what the people who voted you into office feel
about certain decisions your government has taken so far,
especially the decision to ban ‘I-pass-my-neighbour
generator’.
Contrary to the picture your advisers have painted to you,
the decision to ban ‘I-pass-my neighbour’ generators will
only bring more hardship to the people down here who have
never in any way, benefitted from the Nigerian government
at any time. The little hope that your “change” mantra
brought to the poor man is fast becoming another tale in
the book of presidential lies.
So, for you to really understand the ramification of your
decision, I urge you to come for a quick tour of down town.
Don’t worry sir; it won’t cost you a thing. We will ensure
that your visit is as comfortable as we can. Yes, we know
you don’t take ‘shepe’ or ‘mishango’ or ‘Ghana root’ mixed
with ‘draw-draw’. But don’t worry, we will have enough pure
water available for you to cool your feet, wash your face
and quench your thirst.
It is true that the streets down here are littered with broken
water pipes and heaps of smelly refuse dumps as a result of
lack of government presence. But babu wahala, we will see
to it that your danshiki doesn’t get so messed up.
It will be nice to have you address the youths and explain to
them why you have taken the decision to throw our streets
into darkness and expose us to more terror from armed
robbers.
Sir, have you considered the amount of small business
operators that will be incapacitated by the ban you have
imposed on ‘I-pass-my-neighbour generators’? Come sir,
and see for yourself how many families will lose their
source of livelihood simply because they cannot afford to
purchase the bigger generators.
Sir, what becomes of the barber, the hair dresser, the
recharge card seller whose business is run with ‘I-pass-my-
neighbour’ generator? Have you considered the difference
between N10, 000 generator and a N50, 000 generator? Do
you think the people are happy using ‘I-pass-my-neighbour
generators? Someone who earns as low as N15, 000
monthly, how do you expect him to buy and maintain a
N50, 000 generator?
You should also consider they have other needs. I think this
is a wrong move and one that will drive most self-employed
youths into armed robbery and other illegal activities.
And ‘I-pass-my-neighbour generator kills? Hmmmm Mr.
President, I thought hunger and bad roads have killed more
Nigerians than generators? How come you haven’t placed a
ban on hunger and bad roads? Is this a part of the “change”
we should expect from this regime? Is this one of the
groundbreaking ideas given to you by the new minister for
power? How do we achieve steady supply of electricity by
banning smaller generators?
What I see here sir, is the government favouring the rich
against the poor. The importers of bigger generator will no
doubt see this as a welcome idea; that is if they didn’t lobby
for it. This is one of the most insensitive decisions taken by
any Nigerian government. Shouldn’t it be a general ban on
generators?
Is it that punishing the poor has become a goal in itself for
the government? Too many affluent Nigerians – and, in
particular, members of the political elite – seem to have no
sense of how much suffering is down here on the streets.
Little wonder the governors woke up one morning and
decided that they can no longer pay the N18, 000 minimum
wage of workers. For these governors, what is really
striking is the total disconnect between conventional
wisdom and the reality of life – and death – for much of the
nation. It is like there’s a badge of wickedness on the
forehead of our politicians.
Sir, what we want is for you politicians to stop talking
blithely about the importance of alleviating the sufferings of
the masses and truly start looking at the way their less-
fortunate citizens live.

Igbinedion University Was Built With Edo State Money – Oshiomole

Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomole on Thursday
accused Lucky Igbinedion, a former Governor of Edo
State of embezzling funds for the development of the
state. Oshiomole made the allegations at an event
organized to mark his 7th year anniversary as
Governor of Edo State in Benin-City.
According to Governor Oshiomole, the Igbinedion
University Okada, a private university owned by Sir
Gabriel Igbinedion, father of former Edo State
Governor Lucky Igbinedion, was built with Edo State
money.
“There are many files I am yet to open. I am not here
to probe the past, but if the past if preventing the
present…” Oshiomole said.
The Governor noted that he has terminated and
revoked all their contracts.
He decried the fact that the Igbinedion family
privatized the commonwealth of the Edo people by
collecting royalties on lands illegally.
He promised to further revoke all lands and private
properties illegally acquired by the Igbinedion family in
Edo State.

Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg tops list of US richest entrepreneurs under 40

Mark Zuckerberg’s fortune has climbed to $47billion,
according to a list of the richest people in the US under
the age of 40.
The Facebook CEO is more than four times wealthier than
the second richest on the top ten list – who happens to be
Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz, with an estimated
worth of $9.7billion.
Zuckerberg was named number one in Forbes magazine’s
run down of the most successful young entrepreneurs in
the US.
Shares in Facebook hit a record $109 earlier this month
and more than a billion people use the social network
every day, the Daily Telegraph reports.
The third person on the list is Jan Koum, the 39-year-old
WhatsApp founder who is estimated to be worth
$8.8billion according to Forbes.
Earlier this year it was reported that Zuckerberg, who
founded Facebook in 2004, was the 16th richest person in
the world after a surge in Facebook stocks.
